Praising the role of women in engineering BTI celebrates Bahrain Women Day

Bahrain Training Institute (BTI) celebrated Bahraini Women Day with this year’s theme “Women in Engineering”. The celebration was held on Wednesday, 29th November 2017 in the exhibition hall at BTI premises in Isa Town.

Opening the ceremony, Acting Director-General Dr. Samah Ajjawi, lauded the initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), to highlight the efforts of Bahraini women and their effective role in driving the development of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Dr. Ajjawi also noted that BTI is celebrating Bahraini Women Day in general and Bahraini women in the field of engineering, stressing the role of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its support for women.

"We are certainly proud of the achievements of Bahraini women in general and of the women engineers at BTI, who combine engineering and training or technical and administrative work" said Dr. Samah, and added “we are also proud of the female trainees who joined BTI engineering programs”.

At the end of the event, Dr. Sameh Ajjawi, honoured Ms. Bahija Al-Dailmi, the Training and Development Advisor at the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Women.
