BTI marks breast cancer awareness month

Bahrain Training Institute (BTI) held a breast cancer awareness seminar, marking breast cancer awareness month. The seminar was presented by Dr. Fatima Abdul Nabi, Senior Doctor (Surgery) at Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) and a member of Bahrain Cancer Society, with an aim to raise awareness of breast cancer and means of preventing it. Female staff from all BTI divisions attended the seminar where they received detailed information about the disease and informative medical demonstrations on conducting self-examinations.

Ms. Nouf Al-Qattan, a member of Bahrain Cancer Society, who succeeded in her battle against cancer, told audience of her story and how she fought the disease. Ms. Al-Qattan emphasized the importance of the early detection of cancer which increased her chances of successful treatment.
