In cooperation with the Arab Planning Institute (API) in Kuwait, Bahrain Training Institute (BTI) organized a 3-days workshop on “Strategic Planning and Operational Plans”. The workshop witnessed the participation of a number BTI directors, Heads and staff from different training divisions. The workshop was presented by Dr. Awni Al Rashood from the Arab Planning Institute (API) with an aim to introduce participants to components and models of operational plans.
In addition to that, the workshop addressed various topics related to strategic and operational planning, such as: justifications for preparing operational plans, the how-to prepare and monitor operational plans, their link to BTI performance balancing system. Participants were also introduced to various traditional and modern models of operational plans; they were also trained on writing their own integrated operational plans.
Director General of the Institute, Dr. Samah Al Ajjawi, praised the cooperation with the API, explaining that it is not the first of its kind, and that the workshop comes within an agreement between API and the Ministry of Education with an aim to develop administrative and functional skills of BTI staff.
"Bahrain Training Institute is keen to organize workshops and training courses that enhance and develop its staff in various administrative and training fields" Dr. Samah Al Ajjawi said and added that "It is important to develop skills of the staff to enable them to contribute to the strategic planning process and to support the efforts of the Strategic Planning Committee to carry out its work effectively”
For his part , Dr. Awny Al Rashood praised the cooperation with the Ministry of Education and BTI and expressed his happiness to provide such a workshop, indicating that "it deals with strategic planning, its mechanisms and methodologies in addition to the how-to integrate operational plans with the strategic plans of the Institute."
Dr. Al Rashood added that “the workshop targets BTI staff responsible for writing and implementing the operational plans to teach them to write flexible and balanced plans that take into account the financial, services, processes dimensions as well as the continuous growth and development of experiences dimension”.
