The Learning Resource Center (LRC) at Bahrain Training Institute (BTI) announced the update of its references list by adding 184 new reference publication serving the various renewable needs of staff and trainees.

Director General of the Institute Dr. Samah Al Ajjawi said that “BTI management seeks to provide the latest learning resources and computer software, with an aim to support the training process and improve the standard of training provided by the Institute”.

“BTI management pays special attention to the Learning Resource Center for its important role in enriching the knowledge of staff and trainees by providing the latest update of information sources as well as specialized books, magazines and references” Dr. Samah added.

The LRC is currently working on the indexing, categorizing and assigning call numbers to make the new reference publications available for use. The selection of these references is based on coordination with the different training divisions of the Institute, monitoring their needs and listing their priorities for providing learning sources that serve the training process. In addition to that all PCs of the LRC were updated and replaced by new high-tech PCs, in order to keep up with the rapid technological developments in applications and software.

It is worth mentioning that the LRC provides more than 10.000 Arabic and English reference publications, that cover a wide range of disciplines and subjects, serving the various needs of users and visitors of the Center.
