Pearson BTEC “Train the Trainers” program for BTI Trainers

The Training Committee at Bahrain Training Institute (BTI) organized a “Train the Trainers” workshop to train BTI trainers on the application of the new RQF system adopted by Pearson BTEC for the Higher National Diploma programs.The workshop was held under the title "RQF System for assessment planning and essay writing for Pearson BTEC HND programs”. This took place over the days of 25 and 26 September 2019. The first day of the workshop was dedicated to trainers of engineering divisions as well as the IT Academy trainers, while the second day was dedicated to trainers of all other training divisions. The workshop was presented by Mr. Mark Shinton from Pearson BTEC; the prestigious institution that grants international accreditation to a number of BTI certificates and qualifications in various disciplines. Pearson qualifications are recognized all over the world. Mr. Shinton addressed several topics related to the new system such as: the different training paths available to trainers in the new system, the units of each training path, the new training strategies to be followed to deliver the programs of each training path, in addition to the assessment as well as the feedback processes in the new system. In this context, BTI Director General Dr. Samah Al Ajjawi confirmed that the workshop is part of the "Training of Trainers" programs implemented at BTI to ensure the readiness of its trainers to be in line with the requirements of the international accreditation bodies of BTI qualifications”.
